Black Mamas Matter Alliance
A Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance that centers Black mamas in advocacy, research, and community building to improve Black maternal health outcomes.
National Birth Equity Collaborative
Promotes optimal birth outcomes by addressing inequities through training, research, and policy change. Coined the term 'birth equity' and leads national conversations on systemic change.
Ancient Song Doula Services
A Brooklyn-based organization providing full-spectrum doula care and reproductive justice advocacy for Black, Indigenous, and people of color communities.
Elephant Circle
Trains and supports doulas of color, advocates for Medicaid doula reimbursement, and works to dismantle systemic racism in maternity care.
Lucinda's House
Founded by Lucinda Canty, a Black-led maternal health organization in Connecticut dedicated to reducing Black maternal mortality through community education, doula support, and birth equity advocacy.
Shades of Blue Project
Addresses perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in Black and Brown communities through culturally responsive mental health support, education, and advocacy.
Mamatoto Village
A community-based perinatal health organization providing doula care, home visiting, and workforce development for Black and low-income families in D.C.
SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective
The national membership organization for reproductive justice, centering the voices of women of color in policy, advocacy, and movement building.
Roots Community Birth Center
The first Black-owned birth center in Minnesota, providing midwifery-led care and community support to reduce racial disparities in maternal and infant health.
Commonsense Childbirth
Provides midwifery care, doula training, and childbirth education with a focus on improving outcomes for Black and underserved families in Florida.
Birthmark Doula Collective
A volunteer doula collective providing free doula support to low-income and uninsured families in New Orleans, with a focus on Black maternal health.
